The slipper

Want to add a touch of regality to your outfit, look to the velvet slipper in all its bespoke glory - think Chuck Bass meets Hugh Hefner.

Fashion Week Favourites: Street Style

Winter want

All I want for Winter is... a poncho, a nice knitted one.  One thats really colourful, with Missoni-ish patterns.
Kind of like this one...

Any suggestions?

Hand Candy

They say there is no time like the present and this certainly rings true where jewellery in concerned.  Decorating your fingers (and wrists/arms/ankles?) with fun and frivolity has never been this popular.

Gone are the days where gold was tacky and silver was the way forward.  In the wise words of Thomas Hood, wear gold, "bright and yellow, hard and cold!"

Here are some of my faves:

And remember, this is the look we are aiming for:

This, not so much:

"I just love your sleeves"

Sleeves are a seriously underthought part of an outfit, I mean who really cares.  You buy a shirt/blazer/coat without really thinking about the separate components.  But at the moment, nothing is hotter than a mix and matched body/sleeve combo.  If you have no idea what I am talking about, feast your eyes on the Sahariana blazer at Zara, the khaki cotton clashes so nicely with the leather that it automatically propels you at hurricane-speed into hot fashion territory.  Other inspiration comes in the form of Thakoon's shearling and wool cardigan, although at £1000, this fashion hurricane is going to be more of a light breeze for me.  Oh well, a girl can dream...

Leather up.

Leather has never not been 'in'.  ACNE does it, Rick Owens does it, and you should be wearing it.  Srzly, its hot.  Whether your shoes are leather, your belt, or of course your jacket for that ever so hard to achieve 'ijustgotoufofbedandthrewthison' look, the value of that gorgeous shiny material has never been overstated.
You don't plan your outfit when leather is concerned, you just put it on and your look is immediately transformed.  However, the true value of leather can only be shown when it is in chic and stark contrast with something else.  Mix and match, leather skirts, leather shirts.  Let it be your second skin.
Check out these leather essentials.

And of course, no leather-ready wardrobe can be properly equipped without a touch of colour.
Go red a la VB.  I know that I am very much late on the uptake but these Marant trousers are to die for.

I say 'leather essentials' like i can actually afford these items.  To clarify, I cannot.  However there is no harm in looking... and occasionally touching.
